Well today i take my, Rsv1000factory around the "Hring" of Iceland.
Me and my friend will start of today at 1030 sharp. 😁
Always wanted to drive around the island, so here goes.... over 1500km roundtrip, so this will be awsome.
He drives a Suzuki 1800 cruiser. Will post pictures so stay tuned lads.
( if you are interested Tongue)

Fully tanked, packed, lubed, new rear tire, old one lasted 4200kms.

So, yesterday began well... the aprilia works in mysterious ways🙈
First my turn signals stopped working, first roundabout out of town.
Turned out to be nothing??? Worked fine rest of the way👍 So first stop Borganes, all fine. Until we where ready to go, lost my key!!!!
Holy smokes, 1 hour of intens searching nothing, asked over at the petrol station and some GOOD soul had found it, and left it with them phhhuffff.
Rest of the trip to Akureiry went well. Lots of rain but good tires, clothing and happy mood, no problem total for the day, 423km.

After a good night sleep it is breakfast, and of to Egillstadur.

Great pictures, my heart goes out to you as the roads and weather don’t look that inviting atm, a reminder to how blessed we are here ? Although we don’t think it . Keep those snaps coming as you progress, good luck !

So yesterday.
Sun sun and sun, long winding roads, beautiful view and lots of friendly people. But we hit a long streach of road with just stones sand and roadwork, horrible max speed for 1hr ca.20kph.
Then we hit the road over the mountain, windy road for 100klicks, nothing but, lakes, mountains, and fresh air. No traffic wohooo...

Very good day.

Well funny thing is he is worse than me...😂
He has a backpack and he feels shock bottoming out sometimes.
So his back is hurting, and the wind, no deflection.

So yesterday was a loooong ride. We had cats’ndogs rain for 7straight hours. But still fun. We could see the, mountains and fjords for about 3 Hours, then the fog set in.

I get stiff in the hips and back, because of the arthritis, but stopping for a while helps alot.
The bike is performing outstanding✌️ Clap

Tires are superb in the wet, i have always been extra careful when wet, but these tires gives me confidence to ride fast and relaxed even when pouring down.
Suspension is perfect with me, gear and packing. Soft and comfy.

We have encoutered lots of cage drivers, cutting the corners, it is not fun. But all in all, top notch.
So for you guys some pictures....🤟

So we are back home, it was only a quick 4day ride, since my buddy had to get back to work on Tuesday.
But we have ridden 2158klicks in 4 days.
Lovely trip, bit wet, bit sunny but thats iceland for you...
Must say the Factory was not all that to, take on a long trip, and it held up for 8hours in pouring rain. Did not miss a beat😁
Awsome bike, awsome trip and awsome country

If anyone ever is coming over, contact me.....🤟

Great trip, fantastic scenery and a lot of miles on an RSV in four days. How's the body?

Are Iceland's hotels generally welcoming of bikers then?

It is a lovely country, I am actually Norwegian. Born an raised.
But moved here, in 2005. And never ever looked back.

It is worth the trip trust me, just for the clean water and air...

Nice looking place,it looks a bit like a slightly wetter, more desolate Wales in some shots.

And I mean that in the nicest way, just raw, majestic landscapes with few people
