Would the rear shock be a direct fit on to my 2002 standard Mille?

Shock is unavailable at the moment I'm afraid sorry. I believe it would be a straight swap but perhaps ask in another section and someone will know for sure. Since removal I have found some damage so not happy to sell it currently until repaired.

Thanks for the info Cheesy.

Badapple, I'll keep and eye out for you selling in the future - not something I have as a 'must have', but as it came up for sale...

Do you still have that rear shock? Went to do the dog bone on mine today and the rear shock is snapped.

Definitely!

The dog bone bearings are actually ok, plenty of grease in them, glad I checked though!

I always give the adjuster a liberal spray of something like ACF50 to try to avoid that kinda thing.

Age and fatigue is going to take its toil on these units

I’ve had a few rebuilt over last few years, I think five units maybe and I think next time I may just get a new Maxton or Niton unit perhaps

Mate thats exactly what has happened to the one I have hence not for sale was looking into seeing if it could be repaired as that part threads into the body but I'm flat out on a massive garden project. Do you still need the linkage got it on the bench ready to clean and grease up?

The linkage was actually OK on this so I dont need one now. Odd though because I was expecting the bearings to be the cause of this but the bearings had plenty of grease in them and were moving freely.

Have you still got the dogbone? I took mine off to replace the bearings, and it has a couple of cracks in it! Shocked

I'll be replacing the bearings, so all it has to be is undamaged.
