Hi all
For those that have done the conversion.... If it’s not too much trouble can someone tell me the length of the rear cylinder pushrod you have? Mine is rather short and despite adjustment I don’t think it fully pushes the piston fully in if that makes sense. Thank you

Please satisfy yourself that this works but I did some fag packet calculations for the RSV4 m/c on AP rearsets for my Gen1 and I got a 35mm push-rod with 15mm thread length, which should give you sufficient free thread to get a locking nut on there...

No worries... I’ll update next week but I’ve just bought a tapered head Ti M6 bolt which I’m hoping will work once it’s had 10mm taken off and the head should sit nicely onto the plunger bearing in the m/c.

Yup will do.
Will measure the one I have already but I already know it’s shorter than this one I just made up. Once I’ve tested it then I’ll let you know results Thank you

The AP rearsets relocate the master cylinder to help give you a working/consistent rear brake...the RSV4 master cylinder just looks sexier and incorporates the reservoir for a cleaner look...

Apparently the same part is used on multiple KTMs (and probably a few other makes/models) and generally works out a bit cheaper, so have a look about see what you can find...you just need to keep the mounting hole centres the same...

You’ll need a male rod end as well, as per #17 in the diagram...

AP rearsets come with a female rod end... Part #15 in the above diagram is to work with part #17, which is a male rod end...

Yeah, you can by one of those if you want. Me, I just cut the head off a bolt, one end into the AP supplied rod end and the other into the KTM rod.

Thanks for the spec Robo
The one I made up from that is absolutely spot on. I could take maybe a mm off it but it puts the pedal nice and high for stomping if I chose to. Yet to road test as my shock is not back yet but will soon Thanks for the part number legend. As a result I found you can buy genuine Brembo rear master cylinders for less than a price of a secondhand Aprilia item if you look hard enough. Direct from Italy for around £105 new. Admittedly it's off eBay and I know there was supposed to be non genuine Brembo masters floating about at some point
