I like the look of it. Some good claims also. In fact some good gains on most of their engine stuff

Interesting to see with the rubber ring.

I'm not certain if a hooked or Evo offers more power or where but the seal always sounds preferable

That's the one mate I think that with a rubber seal could be a pretty good setup.also the mwr for the gen2 just replaces the stock filter as this one you get rid of it ]

Nor am I bud so my thinking is making the best of both systems if possible.

Lovely looking kit, I'm planning on fitting one to the Daytona the 675 guys rave about them and give the biggest gains especially when coupled with other mods so would be ideal with your set up hangry

Just be a little careful.

I almost bought one of those MWR kits for my Gen 1 as I thought it the perfect combination of EVO with a guaranteed filter seal too. However I found some serious concerns about them but can't quite remember what they were, sucking in the filter foam, fire, I just can't remember. I'm sure there is a thread/post about it on here somewhere but it might be hard to find.

I remember that legend but I thought it was a different brand, lot's of the 675 race guys use them but I'll do a little digging.

I would not let it put you off.

If you don't clean the foam filter or if its cleaned with the wrong product (brake cleaner often gets used) then of course they can start to disintegrate. The fire issues on some manufacturers foam filters were because of similar reasons. Bad maintenance of both the filter with wrong products and/or a motorcycle with back firing throttle bodies.

How many on here use Hooked air boxes without issue?

MWR filters are made of flame retardant foam as is the oil provided it is cleaned annually regardless of mileage

Nice to know James as I said a lot of guys run them on the 675 and I'm currently trying to strike a deal on a set of de cat headers to go with the Akra which effectively makes it a full system and I'll be getting the MWR or similar to go along with it should mske some decent power gains and sound gorgeous.

Do love those triumphs. Always feel like I'm too big for one (I'm not) and they pull do well out of bends. Always needed to be lairy on the throttle to get past as you punch out or have a straight to pick the Aprilia up to get past and even then that was mid 120's before it started to rein it back.

I'd love to take it on track but I'm spending a fortune tarting it up so she's staying as a road bike to ponce about on and polish LOL. I totally agree on the power delivery it feels every bit as quick if not quicker upto 3 figures which is more than enough for the road !

I'm considering getting another one for the track and selling the ZX6R if the right deal comes up over the winter I'm that impressed with it but might be a little out of reach right now with all the renovations on the house we're currently going through time will tell.

Soz been a while but my mum sadly passed after a fairly short battle.
She was an amazing woman that even loved my rsv as much as me,she even sorted all the ordering with the smalt system and couldn't wait to hear it.
But I will post up all figures when I get them.
