twice now I 've had the rear brake lock on. First time it released itself by getting so hot it melted the calipers pot seals. So new pads and new seals. Really struggled to bleed but got somewhere close. First run out and it sticks on again after first try??? This time I have to crack the nipple on caliper to release pressure . Faulty master cylinder maybe?

Is the master cylinder maybe adjusted incorrectly? Matbe needs backing off abit

And check you don't have too much fluid in the reservoir, it needs an air gap.

Both the above the most likely suspects. And the obvious of course that the pistons slide freely in the caliper. Given that you have just rebuilt it I guess this won't be an issue but worth mentioning for completeness. |

As with all three of these mentioned. I wouldn't rule out some form of distortion to the caliper pistons or the caliper itself if it got that hot it melted the seals. May only be minor but enough potentially to cause the issue
