busy busy day, still unpacking and settling into the new bungalow.
cleaned all the garage out, bike arrived at 11.30.
no riding yet as no insurance set up ect,
still changing addresses on insurance/driving license/log books/bank ect
but ive got the trickle charger fitted onto the battery,
she fired up 1st go thank god, lots of history with the old girl,
service book/owners handbook/spare key/many reciepts in a big binder for services/valve clearances ect
wheels are mint, front carbon mudguards gone a funny faded colour but i can pick one of them up,
uprated battery and 150 starter already fitted as well as a nice surprise...power commander and a dyno printout for 123.8 bhp with exhaust and k&n filter.
obviously i need to source a race can as it only came with std bazooka fitted.
very very happy and in love though!!

lovely stuff

And again just relaxer the guard.

Grey scotch brite till it's a Matt finish all over. A good clean with panel wipes and a decent petrol resistant acrylic lacquer and it will look mint

Nice, BIG UN. If you've never had an 'R' before it will be a revelation as the wheels particularly make a huge difference.

Looks a really nice bike,is this a keeper then do you reckon? LOL Wink

I quite miss looking at my old Mille,I always thought the gen 2's looked much nicer but now I've got a Gen 2 Tuono I think the older model still has my heart

I like the way you've prioritised things, new bike in nice empty garage but not unpacked yet. Classic Clap

One thing I would do before anything else gets put in the garage is paint it, surprising how quickly they fill up then it's a right ball ache after.

Yep, walls and floor. I fitted a timber false floor with some insulation below it makes it much more pleasant kneeling or lying on the floor.

yes,im sizing up wall paint, floor paint, garage door paint and swapping the bulbs for tube lights,
maybe some foam matting for kneeling on.
weve boarded loft out so the mrs knows no sh*ts goin in the garage.
only me got a key to it lol.
shelving and old book cases ect from old house are right at the back for tools and fluids,wd40 polishes ect
90% of garage is nice and empty with just my bike and tons of room all round it.bliss.
need some bikey pics/posters/calendar ect to decorate, got a fridge on its way and a tv.

shes a keeper ian mate, ive tried it the mrs way, fancy car ect ,in the end even she said you were much happier when you had a bike lol.

ill not get a nicer 2002 rsvr for this bargain price again,or any other bike with the same spec!!

is 123bhp ok?healthy?

yea, that was recommended the most by the chaps on here,
autoglym do one and muc off too,i just went with what they had on the shelf at cmc.
no sdoc in there, they just had putoline which is an aerosol or muc off that was a liquid similar looking to the autoglym glass cleaner.

the aerosol hardly seems to have used much at all.
weird cleaning 2 halves of the bike in different ways lol.
easier than imagined though,my ocd was bricking it
but the matte comes up well, just dried it off quickly after washing mate.

i dont mate, and jims in ipswich, why you ask?

luvly bike jim,and a cracking picture!
i NEED more carbon parts lol,
just missed out on a carbon rear tail light surround for £35 the other day,
like rockin hoss sh*t.

also need a dark screen like yours.
little bits to hunt down over the winter.

did my wheels with wd40 as recommended the other day,
they look like bloody new now!

only just seen your post regarding the carbon hanger,
got mine cheap, its brand new but a couple of very tiny imperfections in the carbon he said,
so he sent it delivered for £20!!

last one he had for a single can gen 1.
i cant see any imperfections on it all,he must be really picky with himself lol.

got a new phone today too,so hopefully next pics will be better quality!
