Looking for a nice low mileage Gen 2 RSV1000R Shock to replace the basic one on my Gen 2 Tuono. Was looking at the Gen 1 currently on EBay but can not confirm anywhere on the internet that a Gen 1 Shock will fit a Gen 2 - anybody know ?
Cheers Al

I've seen it (once) but you need to change the dog bone link and the link plates also. Even then it's not quite right from what I hear.
Give Griff a call as he can probably say or Spoonz may well know

Thanks for that - really helpful. I guess the morale of the tale here is that it’s not really worth the trouble and I should wait For a good Gen 2 one to appear. There’s a Gen 2 Shock on EBay with allegedly 7k miles but it looks pretty tatty. Seriously considering getting a Nitron NTR-1 for £430, relatively expensive but at least a known quantity.

Theres a decent looking Gen 2 shock on the Aprilia Performance FB page at the moment for £100. The guy is selling a lot of bits.

Thanks for that - I’ve never used FaceBook but seems like I’m going to have to get with the times as it looks like a lot of AP users are doing business on it.

Hi,
I’ve been on what Imthink is the FaceBook page for AP but after a fair bit of trawling through to find the shock I ‘ve drawn a blank. Is it still there and any tips for finding the ad ? Thanks and apologies ! Al

Many thanks for that - just back from a very wet wedding near Silverstone so hopefully won’t be too late!

Ah just found it - was hoping it was a Gen 2 with the remote reservoir/compression and height adjuster not the basic Tuono one I have already. On the verge of getting a Nitron........
Thanks for your time
