Guys,

I've decided to off load this 2002 Gen 1 that I bought to track. I was gonna pack in racing this year and just do a few trackdays, but have decided I can't leave my championship wins at just two Embarrassed so back to the FZ it is.

Anyhoot, it's a very low mileage bike for the age at just over 18,000, verified by the MOT history. MOT until August 2018. The bike is HPi clear in every respect. V5 present.

Starts, runs, rides & handles brilliantly. No untoward engine noises, no smoke, runs smoothly & pulls like a train!

Many new parts recently fitted..
Brand new Bridgestone Battleax BT016 tyres
Brand new chain & sprockets
Brand new battery
Brand new wavy front discs
Brand new anodised levers
Brand new Domino grips
Oil & filter, brake & clutch fluid recently changed

The unique paint work has been done to a pretty high standard but does have a few minor marks and nicks. I've heard all the Ironman quips already so don't bother......Wink

Currently on SORN, but the MOT runs until August 2018

More pics on request.

Bike is in North Cambs but I can get it delivered nationwide pretty cheaply

Looking for £1400 for this beast. Please message me with any questions etc

Thumbs Up

To be honest, I love that Spider-Man kit. May replace my Aldana skeleton leathers with them.....

However, thank God the bike sold today. Mark feel free to remove the post, it hurts my eyes nearly as much as stumbling over the abomination in the garage every morning

Sound bike, but who the feck thought those colours would work?

Don't mess with Spiderman, or suggest him soft for riding an inline four either.

I wouldn't kick the "Harley" out of bed either LOL

Iron Man was a song by Black Sabbath. They say you should never meet your heroes. All the girls like him though.

You're absolutely 100% right Matt. What matters is what it's like underneath. Someone's got a lot of bike for little money. I'm laughing both at Marks link and Paul's discomfort. I'm sure whoever bought it will be happy and have the last laugh. Either paint or bodywork or just enjoy as is.

That Iron Man suit really does deserve a thread all of it's own though. Gotta be Photoshop surely?

I'm sure that came from an April Fool on the sportsbikeshop website last year.

Hi all, New member here.
Thought I'd raise my head above the parapet.
Proud owner of a 2002 Mille with a very rare 'Marmite' paint scheme. (see above!)

Found the topic when having a browse for twin exhaust systems...

It's my first Aprilia so the list of questions/queries in my head keeps getting longer. I'm sure they've all been asked before. Neutral and side stand are the first two items on the list.

Thanks Paul for the bike. Sweet ride home. She's beautiful on the inside.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks she'll have a new dress... we'll see. Plenty of other distractions in the Lock-up. I'll post some pics when she's done. Wait... they're never finished, are they?

Slip it, Slide it, Pick it up & ride it.

Hey Mark, glad you got home unfrozen and the bike performed well. And glad you found this site, it’s a font of knowledge and most members are very helpful.

You’ll enjoy Aprilia ownership, they’re addictive!

Any q’s or probs give me a shout

Cheers again for a very easy, straight up deal.

1400 quid for this? That's cheap. Plenty of cheap bodywork for these.
Just converted my mille r to track fairings. But holding onto the original fairings.
If I had seen this for sale a few months ago it would have been converted, and someone would have had a lovely set of panels to fit to their bike lol.
LOL

Ha! My then 8 year old son googled a restaurant chain called Buddies as he wanted to know where the nearest one to us was. Somehow google interpreted that as f**k buddies near you. He grew up a lot that day, never been the same.......
