I could be wrong here but when I had my first standard rsv with a Sachs shock Lewis at AP told me it couldn't be rebuilt once it's gone replacing it is the only option.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

I think due to getting spares ...some shops say they can do them others say no

K tech suspension at Moirai did my rsv one and when that wore out bought a rsv4 Sachs shock that was as new and fitted that
I'm onit !!!! 02 rsv & 10 R1
