Hi all

Having just bought a bike (2005 RSVR Factory) which already has the AP airbox mod installed,I'm considering going back to a standard airbox set up.

Would anyone be interested in the kit including K&N filter?

Maybe £75 all in?

Cheers
Michael

Might be worth checking what chip it's got fitted with the open air box. If it's an FR200 you might want to consider changing maps if you're going back to a closed airbox.
I'm presuming Gen 1 and 2 are similar in this respect ;my Gen1 T has closed airbox with K&N, FR200 etc and I'm using map1.
People say I don't know Jack Sh1t; but I do, he lives next door.

Dont do it !
Ive got the same bike  with the Power commander in it. THe open box does make a bit of a difference. and the induction noise is noticable .:0)

Thanks guys.

To be a honest having only just bought the bike I've got not got much reference in terms of the induction noise and any improvement it gives the bike. At this point I'd rather have the money as I need to do a few other mods before putting it on the roads in the spring.

I'll be taking it off the bike hopefully over the weekend so give me a shout if anyone's interested.

Cheers

As Zax said, think carefully before you do it. It's better than even money that you will want to switch back again.
