The part number for a Gen 2 Tuono is 10-004. That said, I assume it's just the map that is different. |

Cheers

Cheers Colin, I was going to get it dyno'ed and set up with Reps in Caldicot, not sure if you know of him. Are they difficult to fit or just plug in? |

I used to buy and sell lots of bike parts on eBay, including power commanders. What I learnt was the part numbers meant very little. The box is the same, it's just the connectors are different. For example a GSXR SRAD unit also fits a TL1000.
So your 08 unit will fit any rsv/tuono gen2 100%. |

Just make sure the correct map is loaded up before starting the bike!

Yes the Dynojet website lists all the rsv milles 04-09 as part number 10-003.
But it lists the 04 Tuono as 907-411 And the 08 Tuono as 10-004 I thought all the Gen2 Milles and Tuonos used the same PCV, like the Milles do as they're the same part number for all years. Why then would the Tuono 04 and 08 have different part numbers and why is the part number different to the Mille ones? I thought they both used the same connectors etc? Confuzzled. Unfortunately I have velcro stuck over the part number sticker on my PCV and if I pull it off, it will probably just destroy the sticker |

The only logic I ever came up with their part numbers is each model bike got a part number. Even if the model was updated but not radicaly. It really is a case if the plugs fit it will work!

Also they didn't always back date the part numbers when the new PC5 was introduced. So they just said 08 Tuono rather than 04-09.
907-411 is an old part number and for the 3 USB model. |

Ah, me being a bit stupid!! Of course the Gen 1 Tuono is 03-05 and uses the PC3usb not PCV. I was thinking of Gen 2 Tuono's 04 on! Doh! That'll be why then. The other part number 004 is Tuono Gen2. Ha ha I always think of Milles rather than Tuonos and the Gen1 Mille ended in 03, but Gen 1 carried on with the Tuono til 05, wheras Gen 2 Mille 04 on. Get a grip Rick Panic over everyone, nothing to see here, go about your business |

Woooow now, so will the plugs on a gen 2 tuono with a part number 004 be the same as my 04 gen 2 RSV that should have 003 part numbers?
I understand that the box is the same but the map will need changing. |
