i changed mine for a honda firestorm it a straight swop but you have to drill a hole for the switch the stand looks like its at a funny angle but does the job and i used the same springs

Find yourself a stand off one of the US bikes would be my recommendation. It's by far the best solution as it's made for the job. Also, being OE it probably eliminates any insurance issues as well.

Now that's an interesting angle that I'd never considered Confused

If your bike falls over and you claim and some eagle eyed assessor notices you have a non declared, non OE stand I bet they'd refuse to pay out

Blackbird stand is very straight forward (more so than a GSXR unit) direct fit although you may need to redrill a hole for the switch peg to get it so the switch rotates far enough to operate.
As far as folded position goes it fits really well, and is much better than the nightmare that is the OEM stand.

It's specific years but cannot remember which as I got a US stand so didn't focus on the exact specs. If you can find one the US stand is the way to go.

Fireblade 04-07 stand.

Aprilia Performance sell them, when they can get them.

Best stand though is the US spec one from Aprilia
Question everything.
