Sun came out... rest history.  Found a small oil lead round the sensor at the left top of the clutch housing.  Seems to be fine after cleaning out and re seating.

So todays job was flushing the old fluid from the clutch and the rear brake.  It was so gross and yellow I am embarrassed to even show you what it looked like.  In fairness... it was not due to ME! lol.

Next I want to oil change and check the clutch.

Well got a bunch of maintenance items done today.  Got the oil changed.  Pull the tank and drained it.  Wanted to check the fuel pump and tank.  Found some gunk.  Cleaned it up.  Since I was this far pulled the airbox, changed the plugs to new Iridiums and lubricated linkages.  Stuffed it all back together and bam... runs like a top.  Pulled the clutch cover to have a peek as well.

After having a great ride the other day, decided it was time to tackle the suspension.  Reset everything back to factory and go from there.  I realized in that process that the bike was setup WAY to stiff for the road.  Really setup for racing... :)

Anyway.  Reset the settings all around and went for a blast.  Much better.  Less twitchy and more stable feeling.  Better ride.

Think I am on to something here :)
