Hello from Reykjavik iceland. My name is John 40yrs old, work as a firefighter, used to be an audi tech.
Been lurking around, here a little while. Just bought myself an Rsv mille 2001. Its only driven 20.000km.[emoji16] Really happy with it, i have had mostly suzukis but also honda, yamaha, kawa and ducati. Love this bike, feels alot like my TL1000S did fun caracter. Its go full akra, airbox mod, 54mm Tb's. And an evo factory pro chip. |

Hello and welcome
My best mate Jim/James lives in Reykjavik! He runs a bicycle shop there and we've been mates since we were 14! He likes his Harley chops etc I've got 54mm throttle bodies as well. Quite rare. Have you got the short billet velocity stacks as well? Use Photobucket, and show us some pics of your bike and lovely and amazing island Cheers buddy Rick |

Thank you everyone forthe warm welcome.
We have had super weather this summer. Just got the Mille a week ago, but driven 1200 km allready. Have not checked for the velocity stacks. But anyhow, it seems too bee running alittle rich at idle. Love it though. |

I don't do football. But I like the world cup... It means the roads are nearly empty!
What was it Guy Martin said? "Watching a load of millionaires running round a field, chasing a bag of wind!" No offense meant. I heard that Bobby Charlton's s'posed to be good, who's he play for? |

Photobucket is probably as easy as any.
Upload to there, then click on the box to the right of the photo marked "Img". It will briefly say copied in yellow. Then just paste it here. I like the red ones, they look really classy when polished up! Albeit slightly slower than the ballistic black ones, but only a bit ... |

Welcome I also assumed Ireland when I first saw it. I have no shame in saying that I was cheering loudly for the football team they deserved to beat the playboy crowd and did it brilliantly.
Hope everything is as it should be Must admit it did occur to me how wild one of these bikes would be for ice racing |

Thank you everyone, nice forum you guys have.
Great to read up and get some knowlege. Will set up an photobucket account. As for the football, well nut much of a fan, but it is fun when the national team got this far, aspecially when we are only 320 000 people over here. They faught well i should say, ronaldo did not take loosing to well did he But hey, fun while it lasted. pics coming.... Planing on using here for as long as there is no snow, and -degrees. Must fun bike i have had in years, its old but still turns heads and does what i does well.

Very nice John! She's a beaut
And some nice twin Akrapoviks too. I bet she sounds nice! What car do you drive in the winter? You use spiked tyres on it? My buddy there used to be into 4x4ing over the glacier. Are you still allowed to do that? In Finland a couple of times I've driven from the south, up to Finnish Lapland (about 11 or 12 hours), in a VW Golf on "nail tyres" and could pretty much do 60mph/96kmh over ice and the compacted snow on the road. Worth the drive for the Northern lights alone! Is the "Blue Lagoon" still an attraction in Iceland? I've been in those hot spring pools. Walking on black volcanic sand was quite surreal too Do you plan on doing any more mods to your bike John? |

Tnx love her.
I own a vw-touareg no spikes. Snow comes and goes her in iceland. Not as cold here as Finland, Norway and the like. Wierd right. Driving on the glacier is still going strong. There is a real tourist boom here now, so plenty to do. Do not know about more mods, Have full race akro, chip. Maybe build my self an open airbox. Go 15/42 sprockets. Any tips? |
