smaltmoto shower kit is test fitted and is looking great! Need to fabricate new adaptors in order to bolt on and connect the quick release tubes.

Do be honest Red I don't know if they will provide extra ponies...theory implies that they should...however I wish I had opted for the 60mm TB's instead of 57mm but when I got them I had no plans to go big bore

Hi Nitro, are you using a different or variable fuel pressure regulator.
They look like Smalmoto shower injectors.
Impeccable work, it's coming on nicely.

well Ducati seem to favour shower injector setup so no reason why they shouldn't ...by the time it's up and running and custom mapped I'm sure this is going to be a winner

Progress is slow and until I make a lighter version of the side stand a made sure that it won't touch the Smaltmoto pipe!

Reflecting heat from the engine is important and DEI gold tape is ideal for this job!

I bought some of that from thermal velocity and then couldn't bring myself to wrap my carbon airbox so you couldn't see it, even though you can't see it with the tank on, go figure

The heat only goes upwards at a stand still.
As soon as you get moving you get fresh cool air getting blown in and cooling it all down!

I'm sure it's better on the move but a little over-simplifying to suggest that the heat absorption disappears completely once on the move. Ask the Moto GP boys or the F1 teams

But their engines are more highly tuned and are designed so they are very compact and also run very hot with minimal wall thickness on all parts.

Not a 20 year old engine design where there is about 3 inches between the rocker cover and the air box.

You run your bike so the fans kick in and feel the underside of your air box.... You would have more chance of getting sun burn outside today than burning your fingers.

Well done Nitro, great work and attention to detail. Will that airbox seal against the tank with a rubber gasket or will it stay it is? I bet you can't wait to ride it.

Yes it came with a rubber gasket in order to seal and it works pretty well too
