Later Gen 2 bikes use a Nipon denso sensor, but the early bikes use a Bosch version.
The Bosch sensors can give false overtemp indications that cause the ECU to go into "Limp" mode. You need an updated connector that you can splice into the harness allowing the use of the improved Nipondenso sensor. The connector is p/n AP8127776 Nippon denso sensor p/n AP0274040 The new sensor Is Green, the Old Bosch type is blue if you want to spot which you have on the bike.
