I've been scouting round for an early intake boot for a while now without much success.
I'd just assumed that mine didn't have one.

Very early (1999) air boots with a big bore for max air passage. After that they fitted smaller, more restrictive boots to help meet lower noise targets.

Looks like it,now I've just got to find the enthusiasm to fit the thing when it arrives LOL

Got until the 5th of next month to get that and a gearing change sorted.

As well as modding the rear hub of Russ's SuperMono, gonna have to be a few long nights at work me thinks.

Oops sorry Ian, me and my big mouth
I often offer to do 'jobs' for people out of kindness, then realise that they just get in the way of what I really want to do.

I believe they were twintorque, yes. 2001 onwards had the restrictive type to reduce noise levels, but also restricted air flow.
As Ian says above really. Here's the difference, courtesy of Nickyboy

The large hole is still 100mm across regardless of year, it's the 2 branches that fit flush with the frame and the open body design that are different. So they'll fit all years of a Gen1

I think they came with a full on carbon fibre race box with no filter element.

Or perhaps that was an option, not sure tbh.
