Cheers lads.  They look pretty darn good.  Thats one for the winter me thinks.

Now, next question.  Are these bikes restricted or not....keep reading conflicting details on this....if not, then fine, I'll do it over the winter for next year but if they and its by quite alot then can ya point me in the right direction.

Most bikes will have been de restricted at the first service I would have thought as that was standard practice at my local stealers.

I do have a standard boat anchor with the cone restrictor still in place though so some do escape.

Putting the whole thing back together tomorrow to lay out the design.....going with the red, possibly black highlighting in places....Its kinda something I'll work out as its laid out.  The white is getting me onto a blank canvass as it were.

I'd be worried every time I took it out! Can't see you being able to pop into halfords for a tin of touch up paint!

The guy who runs Airbrush Perfections is a really nice chap and all round good egg.  I asked him to paint my new lid but when he got to it he found he couldn't take enough of it off to do a properly good job so he said he wouldn't do it.  In my book that makes him a craftsman rather then just a painter.

He was doing the Team GB cycling and equestrian helmets whilst I was up there talking to him.

I think I saw that in Doncaster yesterday, near J&S being ridden very slowly and carefully, thought it was a marbled effect from a distance.

Thats a lovely job and all credit to the painter oon that one.  Not what I'm aiming at on mine personally.  If you own the bike its not too bad to redoo that sort of thing for scratches etc, but still a pain in the arse.  The whole of that bike is a art piece though so there are no boundaries as it were.

Anyway, mines built up in the white base now...forgot how many bolts there were taking it apart...

That makes 2 on the white also i quite like it when people reverse the colour schemes so instead of having the black top half it's red and black lowers and so on.

Laughing.  The white is going to eventually be the highlights.  Main colour is going to be red, but deciding how much white and how much red and black etc is where i'm at doing the design...sometimes less is more etc etc.

If apple did bikes....this could be the new I-ape.
