OK found a bit more info!
Doesn't seem too bad and is Italian made. They seem to cater for a lot of Aprilia models too on their website.

Get a really good Nitron for that money. Or Maxton for that matter.

I didn't think an RSV4 shock would fit. Thought they were shorter and too wide to fit in the space.
Either way I've gone with a Matris K series shock- but it'll probably not arrive until the New Year now.

Stevieonit fitted an RSV4 shock to a gen 1 Rsv last year. Said it didn't take too much work. There's a thread somewhere.

I'd just be buying another 2nd hand shock of unknown quantity which I'd then have to spend money on getting overhauled, possibly costing around £300 all in.
Well, with the deal, I was able to get a Matris K series brand new custom built rear shock for £590. This is a better deal for me as it's a known quantity.
I have a spare Sachs shock from an '03 Tuono which I could have had rebuilt but I wanted a better quality longer lasting and rebuild-able option. |
