Yes mate it does, used it loads, getting fed up using levers and rim protectors now though, prob gonna get one of those sealey tyre changers, when I save up some money.

That's just a bead breaker.
Breaking the bead is the easy part.

Getting the tyre off and on the rim without damaging or scratching anything is the tricky bit.

We have a bead breaker like that, had it several years and while its pretty crappy, it does actually do the job. For that price you cant complain.
I would disagree, breaking the bead is the hard bit. A few decent tyre levers and a few small patches of commercial carpet about 3" square , a spray of water with loads of washing up liquid around the tyre and it comes off no bother.

I had one of them when I was doing Sumo an moto-X...Look at the zip tie tyre removal video on youtube (there's one to fit the tyre back on the rim too don't worry) works a treat...although I've only done it on crosser/Sumo wheels.

Depending how many tyres you are changing and if you have room you can get a second hand tyre machine for around £200. I keep thinking about getting one but i know i will end up changing every one of my friends and families tyres so it tends to put me off.
