Got problems with my Falco flashing EFI on the dash. Reads loads of tips and when I plug in the diag wires, I get fault code 0. Looking at the code list there isn't a code 0, any one have any ideas? Bike runs Ok, recently replaced the speed sensor and side stand switch.

Well this is certianly proving to be a tricky one. This now comes up with Diag code 1. It is strange in that the error only occurs when the bike is moving, on idle it is fine. Any ideas what the hell is causing it, or is it an expensive trip to the dealer?

Well. Taken the bike to Taz and they have spent 2 weeks trying to get to the bottom of this. Even Aprilia technical have no idea and have put it down to a bad earth. The bike runs fine,it's just as soon as I start moving the EFI flashes on the dashboard. Seems to be a component associated with moving, is there a sensor in the gearbox somewhere that might be knackered? The only thing I have noticed is the neutral light doesn't go out fully when put into gear, it just goes dim, but when you get up through the gears extinguishes. This really is a bizzare fault. If any one has any ideas let me know. Cheers

I had the exact same problem 2 weeks(300miles) into ownership of my Falco last (very wet) September It was a warranty job so the bike was taken away and fixed. I was told they dried all the electrical contacts around the engine and re-sealed them with silicone grease, but also shortened a couple of ignition leads. They say they are too long as standard and allow water spray to collect and drain into the coil area(?) thus shorting out. I thought it was the tip over sensor but that was fine, Plus i also had doubts about the alarm/immobiliser. Either way, since i've had the bike back there's been no repeat of the engine maladies. Hope this is of some use!.....[;)] MickG
