Hi all, trying to fit an Oberon clutch slave cylinder.

I put the new cylinder on. I then connect a clear tube with a syringe containing new fluid to the top of the banjo bolt or bleeder nipple. (Has a small black rubber brembo cap over the top of it).

I try to pump fluid through it but physically can't. It's as if it's blocked!

What am I doing wrong as I can't get fluid into the slave cylinder.

You have cracked it open first haven't you. If reverse bleeding it remember to take the reservoir cap off as well.

Also try wrapping a few turns of PTFE Plumbers tape round the threads on the bleed nipple before using

Making sure it's round the threads ONLY Wink

The threads are a crappy fit and tend to leak air when unlocked

Reservoir cap is off an empty and by crack it open I assume you mean unscrew it slightly from the slave cylinder?

Yes turn the bleed a couple of turns to open it.

Don't worry all, I didn't realise the banjo bolt comes separate from the bleed nipple, it was just seized together. All done thanks.
