When I had the money for a charger I had nowhere to keep one now I have somewhere to keep one I don't have the money, possibly because I love bikes to much. I dream of 69 chargers or 72 cudas pro touring style or a nice 77 trans am pro touring , but I only want the looks not the old handling etc.

Iron is more granular than stainless so gives better breaking but rusts like a bastard which is why they don't use it mainstream.

Don't want to put a downer on this but that front axle bolt head needs a polish!
Otherwise seriously shiny parts everywhere!

Nice discs,I was thinking about a set,do they need different pads to stainless discs?

I recall someone at Valley went quite a way off circuit in the wet and when he got the tyre people to look at the bike they found he had the wrong sort of pads in for wet conditions.

Whether he was using carbon pads I can't remember but I recall them saying he should have changed them as something was incompatible with rain.

Although as cars use iron discs quite happily in all conditions I can't see the problem, will you just replace the disc ring when the iron wears?

If they wear out as quick as VW Golf discs it could get expensive

The pads i am using are brembo sc which were recommended by hps for these discs, i haven't had chance to use them in anger yet as i have just mot'd it at 5pm and i have to tax it and set the suspension up but just taking it to the mot station you can feel the difference with the iron compared to the braking waves i had on. Braketech can supply the outers if you do need to change them or want waves or stainless. The front forks are hayabusa as they are the same length as the original ohlins and didn't need shortening.

The forks are as they came out the box, i just need to get them setup and the shocks off a 09/11 thou and fits straight in. They have the seperated compression in one leg and rebound in the other with the big pistons.
