Still available, Longer found he already had one on his bike, lucky lad.
Winter modding? More airflow, a real plus especially with a modded airbox. |

Hey dude there is this one on eBay in Germany. A bit pricey I know but includes airbox to, could resell that to recoup some of the cost. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?

Just thought... I'm going to be getting an open airbox from Jolly, I can just do away with the boot right?? It has no purpose once you put an open airbox on?

On the gen 1 unfortunately not, only the carbon box from the Eddie kit that does away with the boot. I think, someone will be along soon to confirm

You still want COLD air, the boot at least delivers it, if you remove the boot hot air from the engine will go through it. Hot air = economy cold air = power |

You'll still want the boot with one of Jolly's trays.
I might have a spare boot for sale, mine had the bigger boot anyway and i brought a second hand carbon tray that also had one fitted. Send me a message if you're after one. |

Depends on the design to a point but I would keep the boot, partly for the reasons AF1 mentioned but also because the boot channels the air to raise it's pressure and reduce turbulence. Consistent air flow is as important as the amount for good fueling. Those kits that seal to the tank rarely seal properly for long (if ever) and a decent amount of air is drawn in around the tank but even then I would keep the boot.
