Just seen a post on the FB Tuono Racing page and there are pics from an Aprilia brochure from early 2000's and shows an aluminium Tuono which was apparently a dealer option. Anyone ever seen or heard of these bikes - don't think I have anyway. Ive tried to upload screenshots from the computer but they're the wrong format - will try again later but interested if any of these bikes are actually on the road.

Morning Del

They did an option for a aluminium streetfighter kit for the Falco buddy. Pretty rare. I was unaware of one for the Tuono though.
Question everything.

That's the pictures Rick, thanks for that.

Never knew about either version but the Falco one looks really good IMHO.

Never heard of anyone having either bike- these must be rarer than the Racing or the Dark. Be great to see pics if anyone has an actual Alu version of either bike.

The Falco one's ace isn't it? The high level pipes and everything.

I never knew that about the Tuono kit. Never heard of one ever. Maybe just made for a short time available in Italy and then dropped, or some such thing.

Betwixt the Falco and the Tuono kits, the T kit doesn't change it's lines much, but the Falco kit is a complete aesthetic make over.

Betwixt...LOLClap

Agreed, the Falco looks brill. I think its the frame that helps make it. Also seems to stand out more than the Tuono kit, which is much more subtle. To be honest, and again its only my opinion, but I prefer the more usual colours on the T, but I would have that Falco in a flash.

My head has been turned by a few modded Falcos recently. You're right about the frame as well, really grown on me. Did you see that orange Falco track bike?

AF1 in America bought up the last of the Falco Fighter kits from Aprilia and sold them all iirc about 5-6 years ago. I never knew a kit was produced for the Tuono.

Don't think I've seen the orange one Rick, where were the pics? A well done Falco is definitely a good looking bike - and as above, I really think the frame helps with the looks.

Thats a cracker Mark - looks like a top job on that bike. Taken 2012 tho, wonder if its still on the go, or indeed if it still looks like that.

I think Aprilia should have continued with a Falco / Sport Tourer, but saying that Sport Tourers are now adventure bikes....
Full Arrows system, 1060 Big Bore, PC5 and Evo Airbox. Bring on the big grin!
