Err,No, and I'm not totally sure
As in I'm not sure if the PC5 is compatible with the early ECU,it wasn't when it was first introduced but I'm not sure if there is now a work around,Griff is the one who'll know for sure. I know the Gen2 57's need different leads to connect to the early systems, how that effects the Power Commanders I'm not sure. I'll watch this thread with interest as I have a Gen2 top end complete waiting to be used. |

I think the later USB pc3 is better than the original 3 but the PC5 has much more potential as long as it will talk nicely to the ECU/injectors.
At least that's how I understand it,could well be wrong though,my Mrs thinks I am,quite often |

They don't make a 5 for the Gen1 . Too old technology now.
A quick search on Dynojets website shows PCIII only.

The common route when fitting 57's is to buy an adapter harness from Griff (There are other folks selling them), they change the injector leads to Gen 1 type and then bish bosh bash your PC3 will fit.

You know anything about the Tigcraft systems Nickyboy? I'm wondering about the performance gains and db ratings on the single system gen1?

As a few have said above pc3 usb with the adapted leads and you can modify a Pcv to fit, a few have done it and smaltmoto in Germany sell them already modded and you could then add the autotune.

Ive a set of 57'S and used PC3 non USB from a Gen 1 RSVR, when Griff and the lads are next up this way I'll be getting 57's fitted with adapter set to suit the injectors, a quick tune up and then fit the PC3 with a custom map.. that will be on top of the renegade airbox mod, Reds modded collector, Akra can so looking for some useful gains.. if everything goes smoothly

I too now have the 57's, used pc3, renegade and akra end can, however i'm in 2 minds with either fit the modded collector/akra end can or fit a full 2-2 system. I think the 2-2 akra system with the other mods may give better bhp gains but i'm not sure how much over reds collector mod???

That Big Bore Titanium Akra system Mate, makes a HUGE amount of midrange!! The whole setup I've got is geared towards maximum torque, the bhp figure is just a bi product... NickyBoy |

Soooo, we have all seen this sp (arrow) 2-2 gen1 system on ebay...I'm not gonna lie, i'm interested in it...do we know if it will give better bhp/torque than the akra 2-2 system, i've already got 1 1/2 2-2 akra systems but i do like the "rs250" look of the arrow???

Oh bugger, Gabro does know his sh*t...........Think i'm gonna get very drunk and put in an offer. Personally i don't like the side by side twin systems, however i've always had a week spot for these as i had an arrow system on my 250 all them years ago

Gabro ain't wrong, the shotgun system is one of the best performing out there but different systems will give different gains so it's a question of what your after, power or torque and where abouts in the rev range you want it...?

Well i only really use the very top of the revs on track, just loosing out to a 2005 cbr600 at the min, so just want a little more power without spending too much.....He's had his pc'd so i'm going from totally standard this year to pc3, 57's renegade airbox, rcs but can't decide on exhaust....Got a tigcraft and akra 2-2 but they maybe too nice to throw down the track and i'm worried about dbs. Edging more towards redrats modded collector and akra end can then having the lot Griffed and dyno'd.....Really want another 10bhp though??
